Funjet has good deals sometimes but that may depend on where you are originating.

It would be difficult to answer your hotel question because "…best, but not too expensive" means different things to different people. I would book my airfare, based on price and scheduling, seperate from the hotel. This works best most often for me. But sometimes it is hard to beat the package deals because the airplane may be a chartered flight and that is less expensive than using a major carrier.

On-Strip I would recommend to you New York, New York, Flamingo, or Bally’s.

Near-Strip I would recommend Tuscany Suites.

Off-Strip I would recommend Hard Rock Hotel.

Downtown I would recommend Golden Nugget.

You are honestly better off booking the air fare and hotel individually. I’ve waited for a seat sale to get my air fare. Then I used Priceline (Name your price) to get a good hotel rate.

As for good value hotels, I would recommend NYNY (South strip) or Imperial Palace (mid-strip). If you are looking to spend a bit more, the Mandalay Bay is nice as is Caesar’s Palace. It all depends on your budget.

have a look at http://www.lasvegas.com – they will give you an excellent idea of what to do whilst you are there and can provide pricing on hotels etc.
